Ruey Jen is a talented, proactive and self-directed UX designer. Besides leading UX design in projects, she has contributed at the DSTA level on multiple fronts; i.e. conceptualising the next generation designs, and helping to develop the DI DesignOps Playbook aimed at standardising design best practices. I've worked with her directly on the aforementioned initiatives. I was impressed at her ability to grasp concepts and strategic intent quickly, and can be relied upon to work through the details with minimal guidance. Despite her multiple commitments, Ruey Jen has also stepped up to mentor interns and younger designers in the DI Core Team, and led internal efforts to examine and improve staff engagement.
